Event Description:
October’s exhibit at the Kenai Fine Art Center is Clay on Display by the Kenai Potters Guild. With over 100 pieces this show will appeal to all audiences. Pieces range from raku tiles to a Blue Heron and Fairy houses to oatmeal bowls. Enjoy the product of local artists, master potters with 30 years of experience to novice craftsmen. The Kenai Potters guild has been around for 45 years sharing their love of clay, talents, and educating area youth and adults. You will find their pieces donated at many events including the Food Bank Soup Dinner. While taking in the art, delight in the special exhibition by Alanna DeRocchi, an UAA art professor. Her piece is a 3’ rabbit sculpture with a patient look to its eyes. Kenai Fine Art Center exhibits are free and open to the public. The KFAC is located across from the Oiler’s Bingo Hall and next to the Historic Cabins. 283-7040, The show will hang Wed-Sat, noon-5pm until Oct 27th,
